This tower is many things: a historical monument, an astronomical observatory, and a really good place from where to view Copenhageen panoramas. It’s construction in the 17th century was pecifically designed around it’s use for astronomy.

The Amalienborg Museum

 

The complex is actually four identical royal buildings arragened around a central plaza. The main attraction here tends to be the noontime changing of the guards.

Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek

 

Despite the immediate association you might make with bear, this is a actuallt a sculpture museum, founded by Carl Jacobsen.

Christiania

 

Hundreds of thousands vist this neighborhood every year. It’s notrious for the capricious lifestyle of it’s residents, who, till as recently as 2004, freely traded in cannabis. It’s an independent commune of people who follow their own passions and interests.

Copenhagen Zoo

Experimentarium

 

This is possibly the most fantastic time your kds will have in this city. Random scence exhibits are sacttered all over the place, and as you approach them for a bit of fu and games, a staff member will suddenly pop up, deliver a short but fascinating lecture and then leave you to it.

The Little Mermaid Statue

 

Copenhagen has had quite a hate-love affair with this statue. Since it was crafted in 1913, the staue has beeen defaced, vadalised or modified many times for various reasons, but the city has always restored it.

This, the longest pedestrian shopping complex in the world, is actually a collection of streets that offer an impressive range of high end shopping.
